"Has anybody here seen Carlos?" said Mark as he made his way across desks in New York police department’s headquarters."I've been looking for him for more than an hour now!"
"He went out again," answered one of the police officers, "He was in a hurry this time; I guess that's why he didn't ask for your permission sir." "I want him back here immediately!" replied Mark angrily, "I need to have a word with him about our new case." Procrastination is by far the most frustrating habit I have ever had to deal with. It always made me feel terrible about myself afterwards and just seemed like if it's absolutely impossible to break! No matter how hard I tried to work consistently during the entire day, I almost always end up doing 90% of the work done in the evening or even at night.
I’ve read a beautiful quote once from Walt Disney that said: "Every child is born blessed with a vivid imagination. But just as a muscle grows flabby with disuse, so the bright imagination of a child pales in later years if he ceases to exercise it". What a wonderful tool we all have at our disposal! Our imagination is absolutely limitless. So how can it be that most people think that they have “limited” potentials, they lack new ideas or they’re not creative enough?
Salesman; what’s the first image that pops into your head when you hear that word? Is it the picture of an old fat guy trying to sell you a second hand car? Or an arrogant person in a suit who won’t leave you alone trying to sell you something that you don’t even want? Well, for most people they probably see a negative image, as they have a bad conception about salesmen. That’s generally the result of the common beliefs about them, or maybe bad interactions some people had in the past with salespeople.
Throughout history, learning has always been a critical element in evolution and success. Today however, it’s no longer about learning; instead, it’s all about learning fast. You see, In order to make it in today’s competitive world, you have to learn faster than the rest. Think about this: if you could learn 10 times as fast as ordinary people do, you’ll be within just one year, what it takes them 10 years to reach!
